SET ABLAZE | 2011

As in another work (in which I drew little houses inspired by the artwork of children and folk art), this was the result of my interest in the use of different densities of graphite. In this case I set fire to the houses, in remembrance of Jean Cocteau’s response to a question about what he would take with him if his house were ablaze: the fire.
