FORTALEZA, FORTITUDE, FORTRESS | 2011

In the writings and drawings that make up this work I have attempted to transcribe the surprise brought about by my mother’s remark regarding her own aging process and her sense that she ‘no longer felt [herself] to be the fortress she had always believed she was’.
