SPLENDID CRADLE | 2004

I found this map of South America in História dos Índios no Brasil, edited by Manuela Carneiro da Cunha. It serves to geographically locate the [Brazilian] indigenous ethnic groups discussed in the book’s various texts. I was immediately touched by the image of a continent that, devoid of the political boundaries we know today, is beautifully presented through the very design of its rivers.
